Second International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering-Iraq

Second International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering-Iraq, 2021 (ICGE-2021) is going to be held on 5-6^th April 2021 in Akre (Aqrah)/Duhok/Iraq. The conference is organized by the Iraqi Scientific Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering (ISSSMFE) in collaboration with the College of Engineering/University of Baghdad and Technical Institute of Akre/Duhok Polytechnic University. The conference aims to provide a scientific platform to present and discuss the latest research and studies in geotechnical engineering and all related researches in different fields such as civil engineering, environmental engineering, and architectural engineering. This scientific event is a great chance for participants from both academics and industry to meet and exchange the development and experiences in these fields. This conference will be real opportunity to share new ideas and experiences face to face, establish business or research relations, and find global partners for future collaboration.

Iraqi Scientific Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering (ISSSMFE) was established by Iraqi pioneer academics and engineers of experienced in the fields of geotechnical engineering in 2001. The society is an active member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and participated in the international conferences and summit meetings organized by ISSMGE. The ISSSMFE provides a forum for academics and engineers working in the geotechnical field to understand the soil behavior and solve the problems related to the stability and sustainability of structures founded on/within all types of soils. To achieve the main aims of the society, many symposiums and workshops were organized relating to the geotechnical engineering. One of these important activities is organizing the second international conference on geotechnical engineering-Iraq that will be held in Akre (Aqrah)/Duhok/Iraq on 5-6 April 2021.
